This class is heated only to 85° so believe it or not 85° is the coolest of all of our yoga classes and it’s designed to be fun and lighthearted, so the teacher will guide you through class using verbal cues and giving physical demonstrations to show you the what to the poses should look like. This class will help you understand some of the basic and most common poses and yoga and will help make sure that you feel confident and strong in these poses.

In our slower yoga class, the teacher will guide you through an hour-long practice where you will focus on connecting with your breath and coordinating your breath to your movements. This means that while moving through a lot of the poses you’ll take an inhale and move to one pose and then when you take your next exhale you’ll move to the pose after that. This is style of practice is viewed as a form of moving meditation because rather than focusing on all of the crazy things going on in our lives we are able to really come into the Present Moment by focusing on our breath and how we can always come back to our breath to help our bodies move through stressful or challenging situations.

We also have a power yoga class that is a little bit more focused on building strength throughout your body. So in this class will do a combination of different styles of movements including holding poses for a bit longer periods of time to help strengthen the body and also doing some more active movements. So instead of just moving from one position to the next, we’re either holding poses for a longer. Of time or making that pose an active movement such as moving from high to low lunge and then repeating that repetition several times to help increase our strength.
